Meeting times

 The Roane County Rescue Squad normal business meeting is the first Monday of each month at 7 P.M (1900). **This is subject to change due to holidays or other events.** 

How to join the Roane County Rescue Squad

1. Come to a meeting on the first Monday of the month. You will be given an application to fill out, and a background check that must be completed before the next meeting. This is considered your “Sit In” meeting or click on Application link below

2. Once the paperwork has been completed, and the background check comes back. The membership will vote to accept you as a "Trainee Member" for 6 months. (You must take your background check to the Roane County Sheriff’s Office to have them run it and sign off on it.)

3. After the 6-month training period the membership will vote again to accept you as a Full-Time member.

RESTORE VOLUNTEER SPIRIT JOIN EMERGENCY RESPONDERS OF ROANE COUNTY

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

These are ways you could help - We are looking for fire and rescue volunteers! Are you a boater, live on the water, how would you like to help find the next kayakers or lost kids in a boat? Do you have a side by side, 4 wheeler or horses to help look for a lost person or hiker? Administrative, mechanical, computer, fundraising, bookkeeping, medical, etc. Are you a retired teacher, medical person, military, truck driver or basically anyone can help? Can you use your hands, are you mechanically inclined, building, carpentry or can you sit behind a computer screen and help with a website? If we train you in first aid and CPR, can you help attend public events? Are you a farmer or contractor that owns heavy equipment, and knows how to operate it, that could be used in an emergency situation? Do you own a private aircraft that could help locate someone that is lost or that has dementia or a child that has wandered off that is autistic? Become an associate or full members of the Volunteer Emergency Responders of Roane County.
